A new shark-themed exhibit at the New Jersey State Museum is seeking work from local underwater photographers to showcase. The temporary exhibit’s primary focus is on sharks along the New Jersey shore, past and present. The exhibit is called “The Jaw-Dropping World of Sharks”.
Despite lockdowns remaining in place, Dr. Dana Ehret is moving ahead with the temporary exhibit’s opening. The Doctor’s team is reaching out in hopes that either you or someone in your network might be able to provide images.
Images must be clear and large enough with a high enough resolution that they could be reproduced on panels in the exhibit. The photographer of the image will receive proper credit, however, the museum currently lacks a budget to purchase any images.
Nevertheless, the bragging rights of having a picture you took feature in a museum is plenty, in my opinion. If interested, please contact Dr. Ehret at Dana.Ehret@sos.nj.gov with images he can use in the exhibit, or if you have any questions.
