Discovery Channel decided to tease everyone with the release of its first hints for the date of this this year’s Shark Week, the nature channel’s annual ode to the ocean’s apex predator.
According to Sharkophile sources, this year’s Shark Week will splash off on August 9 at 10:00 a.m. EST, which was confirmed after Shark Week’s official Facebook account released a teaser video earlier this week.
The annual shark-themed documentary programming will run through Saturday, Aug. 15.

This year’s ode to the ocean’s apex predator, now in its 32nd season, “will take viewers to the depths of the ocean with cutting-edge technology for shark detecting surveillance.”
